Manually Setting the Wizbang Path
If you have a problem connecting to the Wizbang server you can manually enter the servers details.
Find out the IP address or name of your Wizbang server
If you are on a till you can find the Wizbang server path by going to the Wizbang settings page.
1. Go to Start - All Programs - Wizbang - Settings
2. The Wizbang path will be in the box next to 'Database path'. This should look something like this.
192.168.1.10:C:\Program Files\Wizbang\Waiter\IBWaiter.gdb
If you are not on a till and do not know the name or IP address of your Wizbang server you can find it by going to the server and checking for the computer name there.
1. Go to the computer running your Wizbang server and do the following
2. Go to Start - Control Panel - System
3. Hit the Computer Name tab
4. The computer name is in the box next to 'Full computer name'
Change the Wizbang path setting
Once you have the name or IP address of the Wizbang server you can now enter it into the Loaded configuration wizard. You will only need to change the first part of the string. Here are some examples.
Original : LOCALHOST:C:\Program Files\Wizbang\Waiter\IBWaiter.gdb
If your server computer name was alibi_server : alibi_server:C:\Program Files\Wizbang\Waiter\IBWaiter.gdb
Original : LOCALHOST:C:\Program Files\Wizbang\Waiter\IBWaiter.gdb
If your server IP address was 192.168.1.10 : 192.168.1.10:C:\Program Files\Wizbang\Waiter\IBWaiter.gdb
Once you have done this you should now be able to connect to the server and complete the configuration wizard.
